First, we will examine the infatuation of the character Phaedra, the possible opposition between desiring and knowing, and the possibility of acting wrong knowing what is right; in second place, the death of Hippolytos caused by his father, Theseus, leads us to the problem of the responsability of the person who acts without knowing what he or she is really doing. Finally, we will try to show how the euripidean characters embody some of the aristotelian concepts. En el presente trabajo nos proponemos analizar dos episodios fundamentales de la pieza Hipólito de Eurípides a la luz de las categorías éticas propuestas por Aristóteles fundamentalmente en su Ética nicomaquea. Examinaremos, por un lado, el enamoramiento del personaje Fedra y los problemas de la oposición entre deseo y razón y la posibilidad de obrar mal a sabiendas; por otro lado, el filicidio -Posidón mediante- de Teseo nos permitirá abordar el problema de la responsabilidad que cabría a quien actúa sin saber lo que realmente está haciendo. Los personajes euripídeos constituirán, así, la materia viva a la cual aplicar los conceptos aristotélicos.
