This distancing is presented in relation with History and familiar history in the novel, due to the eldest son of the family has been adopted during de dictatorship, before the exile in Brazil. Because of that the question about the origin of that child is now a taboo topic. Besides, there are silences in the familiy about father and mother’s political militancy. The difficulty of talking about this traumatic aspects is yuxtaposed with those two aspects that make the representation problem goes deep: taboo topic and familiar secret. Therefore, discourse becomes a symptom: it elides and deny as distancing face the horror, but at the same time exhibits part of that trauma. Metodology work consists in doscoursive analysis of literary text. El presente artículo analiza formas lingüísticas de la negación y del silencio en la autoficción La resistencia (2018), de Julián Fuks, como mecanismos de distanciamiento frente al trauma de la última dictadura argentina y el exilio. Este distanciamiento se da tanto a nivel de la Historia con mayúscula como a nivel familiar: el hijo mayor de la familia en la novela ha sido adoptado en el contexto del régimen militar, antes del destierro en Brasil. De allí que la pregunta por el origen de ese integrante de la familia se convierta en tabú, puesto que podría ser hijo de desaparecidos. Por otra parte, también rigen los silencios con respecto a la historia de militancia política por parte del padre y la madre. Así, a la dificultad de hablar de lo traumático se yuxtaponen otros aspectos que profundizan esa problemática de la representación: el tabú y el secreto familiar. Por lo tanto, el discurso se convierte en síntoma ya que a la vez que niega y elide como forma de distanciamiento ante el horror, exhibe parte de lo traumatizante.
