| Sumario: | The article addresses the responsibility of higher education in the training of professionals with an environmental culture and awareness. Based on the Main Integrative Discipline that enables the development of training, research and extension, the study plans of Cuban universities aim to generate conditions that link theory with practice, while providing solutions to social problems. In these processes that articulate work-research practice, students are positioned as protagonists of the changes. To account for this, this article presents the results of projects aimed at the conservation and mitigation of environmental problems, based on the development of the curricula of the Agronomy careers of the University of Matanzas and Sociocultural Management for the Development of the University Brothers Saiz Montes de Oca from Pinar del Río, Cuba. |
