Two poems are selected to account for simultaneism andjuxtapositiontechnique,characteristic of cubism.Proust represents inÀ la recherche du temps perduthe world ofbelle époque,in anon-linear journeyinto the mind, juxtaposing different moments in the lives of characters,according to the current of simultaneism.This aesthetic, typical of cubism, points out different aspects of a character or an object, not only perceived through different spatial angles, but also in the course of time.This features of proustian writing are examined in the first novel of the writer,Du côté de chez Swann. Apollinaire y Proust participan de un tiempo histórico, el de las vanguardias. Aunque no se conocieron ni se influyeron mutuamente, comparten la estética cubista; uno en poesía, otro en prosa. Apollinaire y su poesía se sitúan en un momento de transición entre un mundo que arrasará la Primera Guerra Mundial y otro que surge, más moderno y rupturista con la tradición artística. Se seleccionan dos poemas de Apollinaire para dar cuenta del simultaneísmo y de la técnica de yuxtaposición propias del cubismo. Proust representa en sus novelas de À la recherche du temps perdu (En busca del tiempo perdido) el mundo de la belle époque en un viaje al interior de la mente que no es lineal, sino que yuxtapone distintos momentos en la vida de los personajes, según la corriente del simultaneísmo. Esta estética, propia del cubismo, señala diferentes aspectos de un personaje o de un objeto, no solo percibidos a través de distintos ángulos espaciales sino también en el decurso del tiempo. Estos rasgos de la escritura proustiana son examinados en la primera novela del escritor, Du côté de chez Swann (Por el camino de Swann).
