The review includes two types of research: on the one hand, which studied the usual teaching purely descriptivo interpretativo perspective and, on the other hand, investigations, also with intentionality and educational intervention i.e. seek to bring into play educational conditions that would help to promote the learning of history contents. The results of the abovedescribed investigations reveal the relevance that have, for learning concepts and explanations, both specific knowledge about the historical situations in study that puts at the disposal of students as the kind of intellectual work that promote the teaching conditions. En el artículo se reseñan algunas investigaciones en Didáctica de la Historia que estudian el aprendizaje, tomando como foco de análisis las relaciones y tensiones entre la enseñanza y el aprendizaje de hechos, conceptos y explicaciones. La reseña incluye dos tipos de investigaciones: por un lado, las que estudian la enseñanza usual desde un enfoque puramente descriptivo interpretativo y, por otro lado, las investigaciones que, además, tienen intencionalidad e intervención didáctica -es decir, buscan poner en juego condiciones didácticas que contribuirían a promover el aprendizaje de contenidos de Historia. Los resultados de las investigaciones reseñadas ponen de manifiesto la relevancia que tienen, para el aprendizaje de conceptos y de explicaciones, tanto el conocimiento específico sobre las situaciones históricas en estudio que se pone a disposición de los alumnos como el tipo de trabajo intelectual que promueven las condiciones didácticas.
