In this context, this article takes up some of the topics discussed in my doctoral thesis with the aim of addressing three issues that have been key in it. On the one hand, I try to address some of the theoretical developments that are currently being debated within global history, trying to organize and structure them, and, on the other, I analyze the social representations that secondary-level history teachers in the city of Neuquén (Argentina) has on this historiographical perspective in teaching. Likewise, here I propose to contribute some theoretical and empirical aspects to qualitative and critical research in didactics of history so that they can become guidelines and a possible contribution to citizenship education, particularly in these times of globalization. Las sociedades se encuentran en constante proceso de cambio y las consecuencias del proceso de globalización se manifiestan en cualquier parte del planeta. En este contexto, este artículo retoma algunas de las cuestiones trabajadas en mi tesis doctoral con el objetivo de atender a tres cuestiones que han resultado claves en la misma. Por un lado, trato de abordar algunos de los desarrollos teóricos que actualmente se debaten dentro de la historia global intentando organizarlos y estructurarlos, y, por otro, analizo las representaciones sociales que el profesorado de historia de nivel secundario de la ciudad de Neuquén (Argentina) posee sobre esta perspectiva historiográfica en la enseñanza. Asimismo, aquí me propongo aportar algunos aspectos teóricos y empíricos a la investigación cualitativa y crítica en didáctica de la historia de forma que puedan llegar a constituirse en orientaciones y en un posible aporte a la educaciónciudadana, particularmente en estos tiempos de globalización.
