The present work seeks to contribute to the understanding of the production and appropiation of the space. We start with an approach that focus on the territoriality of the actors and from there we analyze the case of a land seizure in the locality of Abasto, La Plata (Argentina). As a result of this case study, confrontations and articulations are identified between interests, resources and strategies that are put into play around the appropriation and use of the property. A qualitative methodology based on analysis of primary and secondary sources is used. The conclusions raise reflections on the role of the state in the production of the territory. El presente trabajo busca aportar a la comprensión de la producción y apropiación del espacio. Para ello, partimos de un abordaje que pone el foco en las territorialidades de los actores y, a partir de allí, analizamos el caso de una toma de tierras en la localidad de Abasto, La Plata (Argentina). Como resultado del estudio de caso se identifican confrontaciones y articulaciones entre intereses, recursos y estrategias que se ponen en juego en torno a la apropiación y uso del predio en cuestión. Se utiliza una metodología cualitativa basada en análisis de fuentes primarias y secundarias. Las conclusiones plantean reflexiones sobre el rol del Estado en la producción del territorio.
