It was identified two periods for the creation of civil societies: the first created from 1922 to 1933 by Mexican and foreigner farmers with great extensions of land; and the second from 1934 to 1947, after the agricultural reform, by small and medium sized property of Mexican farmers. El objetivo de este trabajo es conocer la participación de compañías agrícolas constituidas como sociedades civiles por nacionales y extranjeros para cultivar grandes extensiones de tierra en el Valle del Yaqui. Se identifican dos momentos en la creación de sociedades civiles limitadas: las constituías entre 1922 y 1933 por propietarios mexicanos y extranjeros poseedores de grandes extensiones de tierra y las organizadas entre 1934 y 1947, después de la reforma agraria, por propietarios mexicanos poseedores de pequeña y mediana propiedad.
