Como la mayoría de los lectores sabrá, Utopía se encuadra en pleno escenario renacentista, está escrita en 1516 y describe, a grandes rasgos, el estado ideal de una república, tema que por cierto resultaba ser un aire de época y también había inspirado a Nicolás Maquiavelo al escribir los “Discursos sobre la primera década de Tito Livio” en 1531. Tomás Moro diseñó en Utopía una comunidad ficticia con objetivos filosóficos y políticos y en relación a esto se puede leer en la obra de este autor cierta crítica a la sociedad de su tiempo, anhelando un nuevo escenario. Si bien no somos especialistas en el tema nos pareció interesante intentar preguntarnos qué sucede con las utopías partidarias en pleno siglo XXI, aventurando que existiría cierto desvanecimiento de las utopías partidarias. En este artículo nos proponemos reflexionar acerca del modo en el que operan estas lógicas en el espacio nacional e internacional para luego adentrarnos en espacios subnacionales, más específicamente nos importa adentrarnos en lo que sucede en la provincia de Río Negro en Argentina.Finalmente, intentaremos pensar estos procesos a la luz del debilitamiento de las democracias liberales a nivel global. ABSTRACTThis work is part of the commemoration of the 500 years of the work of Thomas More, Utopia. As most readers know, Utopia is set in the Renaissance, written in 1516, and describes, in broad terms, the ideal state of a republic, an issue that certainly proved to be part of the spirit of that epoch. It also inspired Machiavelli to write the “Discourses on Livy” in 1531. Thomas More’s Utopia designed, within a fictional community, philosophical and political objectives and, from this perspective, in the work of this author some criticism of the society of his time can be read, together with a longing for a new scenario. Even though we are not experts on the subject, we find it interesting to ask what happens to partisan utopias in the midst of the 21st century, advancing the intuition that there is some fading of the utopias held by political parties. So, in this article we intend to reflect on the way in which this logic operates at the national and international spaces and then we move into smaller areas, since what specifically matters to us is to understand what happens in the Rio Negro province, in Argentina. Lastly, we try to think about these processes in the light of the global weakening of liberal democracies.
