Through a critical analysis of seven documentaries considered among the most important produced in Latin America in the last quarter of the century, this essay proposes showing the diverse manifestations from a new gender variant: personal and subjective movie documentary. Emphasis is placed on the Object-Subject negotiation, that seems to be identified as a unique entity, or it is placed within a close “family” area. The second emphasis is placed regarding these two entities (Subject-Object,) negotiation with the spectator or receptor, which represents, in his turn, society and its cultural, social and ideological dimensions. |
