description The Roadmap for Palestinian-Israeli and Arab peace and the so-called Geneva Accord are the latest efforts to resume the palestinian-Israeli peace progress. On the one hand, the Roadmap looks for the rapid creation of a Palestinian State, ending the occupation that began in 1967, and to reach an "agreed, just, fair, and realistic solution to the refugee issue". But with a revisal, it can be inferred from the Oslo peace process that this solution will probably exclude the refugees' return to their homes. On the other hand, during the informal meetings held between Palestinian and Israeli notables in Geneva, Switzerland, the participants have openly convened to support the "no return" option. If the refugees, who make up the largest part of the Palestinian people, were excluded from the peace profits, the implementation of a final accord that might emerge from any ofthese proposals would probably fall.
