That´s why we focus the attention in the study of the Bayamo Social society, where the most important meetings between negroes and mulattos occurred. In this work we analyze the discussions to accede to executive committee, member divisions and the links between the institutions and their counterparts in and outside the city. These elements show the complex relations of a place destined to fight against racial discrimination in the Spanish and white Cuban elites. If this was the main interest, the internal disagreements wounded the original objectives, increased the discrimination in the republican context and made the integration of the Cuban society difficult.
