This massive political event happened before the emergence of the Mendoza regional party. For this reason, the participation in those street fights of those who would later incorporated to the guerrilla organization occurred from previous trade-union and political identities or in a dispersed way. In addition, we pay attention to the process of conformation of two groups (the Socialist Base Movement and the April 4 Movement) that emerged with the Mendozazo experience and constitute the local origins of the PRT-ERP. We are interested in thinking about the Mendozazo as a result of the political transformations enabled by him in the subaltern sectors.
