To this end it is necessary to return to a brief description of such upsurge, to then compare the stories written about the Mendozazo with the photographs that throughout these decades have predominantly been disseminated and recover those that have remained in the margins. Partiendo del desborde memorial articulado principalmente a través de la oralidad o la palabra escrita que tuvo lugar alrededor del Mendozazo en ocasión de su quincuagésimo aniversario, el presente texto busca volver sobre el hecho histórico desde las imágenes que en distintos momentos han sido puestas en circulación por la academia, a fin de reflexionar en torno a su lugar en las narrativas que se pretenden entramar, y vislumbrar qué tipo de representaciones sociales construyen. A tal fin resulta necesario volver sobre una breve descripción del hecho que nos convoca, para luego espejar los relatos escritos sobre el Mendozazo con las fotografías que a lo largo de estas décadas han circulado de modo predominante por la retina de las y los mendocinos/as y recuperar aquellas que han quedado en los márgenes.
