This study will also enablethe comprehension the complex process of the prefigurationof a candidate, as a result of specific cursus honorum deployedwithin the elites. These processes transformed certain actors intoparadigmatic figures of the social networks of the elites, andtherefore into natural candidates to access legislative and executiveoffice. El siguiente trabajo explora la experiencia multifacéticade la figura de Estanislao Zeballos a lo largo de los primeroscuarenta años de su vida (1854-1894). Indagando cuál fue ellugar que ocupó la acción política y qué papel jugó en lastramas de representación de esa sociedad. Con el propósitode acercarnos a ese complejo proceso de prefiguración de uncandidato, a fin de ir desentrañando cómo, al interior de laselites, se fueron desplegando particulares cursus honorum queconvirtieron a determinados actores en figuras paradigmáticas delas redes notabiliares y referentes naturales para acceder a cargosparlamentarios o ejecutivos.
