The first case is located in the townof Humahuaca, Jujuy, Argentina and the second is related to theemergence of the Chichas Nation, which had as its epicenter thecity of Tupiza, in the Plurinational State of Bolivia. Temporarily,our analysis is located between the beginning of the nineties ofthe last century, and today. The work explores why and in whatcontext a certain academic knowledge is appropriate, what socialagents make it possible, for what purposes, and finally, how thisacademic knowledge dialogues with others that already circulatedin society. El presente trabajo analiza la apropiación del sabercientífico por parte de la sociedad. Toma como eje de análisis laactividad académica realizada por el autor del trabajo, y examinacómo la misma fue parcialmente utilizada o re utilizada. El primercaso se sitúa en la localidad de Humahuaca, Jujuy, Argentina yel segundo se relaciona con el surgimiento de la Nación Chichashecho que tuvo como epicentro la ciudad de Tupiza, en el EstadoPlurinacional de Bolivia. Temporalmente, nuestro análisis se ubicaentre comienzos de la década del noventa del siglo pasado, yla actualidad. El trabajo explora porqué y en qué contexto undeterminado saber académico es apropiado, que agentes sociales lohacen posible, con que fines, y por fin, cómo ese saber académicodialogo con otros que ya circulaban en la sociedad.
