In particular, studies carried out on the political actors who built their careers in the Mediterranean and Atlantic areas, have highlighted how we can reconstruct a connected history that starts from the experiences of individuals and that puts the right attention both to the circulation of knowledge and to the relations at local level. Nelle ultime decadi la storiografia italiana si è arricchita di nuovi percorsi di ricerca che hanno contribuito a comprendere il funzionamento della Monarchia spagnola in età moderna. In particolare, gli studi condotti sugli attori politici che costruirono le loro carriere negli spazi mediterranei e atlantici hanno messo in evidenza quanto si possa ricostruire una storia connessa che parta dalle esperienze dei singoli e che ponga la giusta attenzione sia alla circolazione dei saperi, sia alle relazioni tessute a livello locale. Nas últimas décadas, a historiografia italiana foi enriquecida com novos caminhos de pesquisa que contribuíram para a compreensão do funcionamento da monarquia espanhola na época moderna. Em particular, os estudos realizados sobre os atores políticos que construíram suas carreiras nos espaços mediterrâneo e atlântico têm destacado o quanto é possível reconstruir uma história relacionada que parte das experiências dos indivíduos e que presta a devida atenção tanto à circulação de conhecimento e às relações locais.
