The life history of Lidia and her leadership in the social movement for the return of the savings fund in the municipality of Empalme, Sonora, are studied through the category of analysis of political subjectivation. This cathegory allows us to see how her experience as a migrant woman is intertwined with the collective memory surrounding the hiring of braceros in Empalme and the erection of a statue to the temporary agricultural workers. Este artículo pretende visibilizar la experiencia de Lidia Cano (3 de agosto de 1932) en la construcción de la memoria sobre los braceros, trabajadores mexicanos que laboraron en Estados Unidos entre 1942 y 1964, por medio de un proceso de migración circular. La historia de vida de Lidia y su liderato en el movimiento social por la devolución del fondo de ahorro, en el municipio de Empalme, Sonora, son estudiados a través de la categoría de análisis de la subjetivación política que permite advertir la manera como se entrelaza su experiencia como mujer en migración con la memoria colectiva en torno a las contrataciones de braceros en Empalme y la erección de una estatua a los trabajadores agrícolas temporales. Este artigo visa tornar visível a experiência de Lidia Cano (3 de agosto de 1932) na construção da memória dos Braceros, trabalhadores mexicanos que trabalharam nos Estados Unidos entre 1942 e 1964, por meio de um processo de migração circular. A história de vida de Lídia e sua liderança no movimento social pela devolução da caixa de poupança, no município de Empalme, Sonora, são estudadas por meio da categoria de análise da subjetivação política que permite perceber o modo como ela está entrelaçada a sua experiência como mulher migrante com a memória colectiva em torno do aluguer de Braceros em Empalme e da erecção de uma estátua aos trabalhadores agrícolas temporários.
