For all this and given the lack of specific work, the article proposes to study the character of his performance as prosecutor and judge of the Revolution that was conducted from Buenos Aires, through which we will seek to understand the articulation that occurred between the political factions in relation to the institutional redefinition of law. This will make it possible to understand, through Agrelo’s case, how political tensions were integrated with legal practices and the new projects outlined, taking as a temporal parameter only the first half of 1812, given the complexity of processes articulated there. La actuación de Pedro José Agrelo en el año 1812 fue de importancia singular para el proceso político y para el análisis de la redefinición de los letrados y juristas, que figuras como él, debieron realizar ante los profundos cambios políticos e institucionales. Por todo ello y dada la falta de trabajos específicos, el artículo propone estudiar el carácter de su desempeño como fiscal y juez de la Revolución que se conducía desde Buenos Aires, a través de lo cual se buscará comprender la articulación que se daba entre las facciones políticas con relación a la redefinición institucional del derecho. Ello permitirá comprender a través del caso de Agrelo cómo se integraban las tensiones políticas con las prácticas jurídicas y los nuevos proyectos esbozados, tomando como parámetro temporal únicamente la primera mitad del año 1812, dada la complejidad de procesos articulados allí. A atuação de Pedro José Agrelo em 1812 foi de singular importância para o processo político e para a análise da redefinição de advogados e advogados, que figura como ele, tiveram de se dar face a profundas mudanças políticas e institucionais. Por tudo isso e dada a falta de cargos específicos, o artigo se propõe a estudar o caráter de sua atuação como promotor e juiz da Revolução que se conduziu desde Buenos Aires, por meio da qual buscará compreender a articulação ocorrida entre as facções. políticas em relação à redefinição institucional do direito. Isso nos permitirá compreender por meio do caso Agrelo como as tensões políticas se integraram às práticas jurídicas e os novos projetos delineados, tomando-se como parâmetro temporal apenas o primeiro semestre de 1812, dada a complexidade dos processos aí articulados.
