It focuses on the political uses of the past that took place in the discourse and certain official initiatives. In this sense, the article explores the role played by the cultural battle and the revision and rewriting of history promoted by the president. In addition, the article analyzes the relationships between the available traditions of the past and the construction of a political identity in the El artículo se ocupa de analizar el vínculo entre historia y política durante las dos presidencias de Cristina Fernández de Kirchner (2007-2015) y se interroga sobre las operaciones selectivas que, tanto en el discurso como en ciertas iniciativas oficiales, declinaron hacia determinados usos políticos del pasado. En tal dirección, se explora el papel que tuvo la batalla cultural que la presidenta se propuso librar y, dentro de ella, la que postuló la revisión y reescritura de la historia con el objeto de establecer las relaciones entre los lenguajes disponibles sobre el pasado y la construcción de una identidad política en el presente.
