The development of the work examines strategies of working organization that deployed in the different moments of the period, the modes of expression of the social protest, the type of demand focused on employer entities and the characteristics of the relationship unfolded with the State and its institutions. The proposal suggests a periodization which organizes various cycles that can disaggregate the time considered according to dominant trends within the trade unions in each of them. Finally rehearses a look together on working-class institutions linked to the various sectors of economic activity which organized the life of the territory in this historical context. En este artículo se analizan las formas de organización sindical que estuvieron presentes en el área de la Cuenca petrolera del Golfo San Jorge durante la primera mitad del siglo XX. En el desarrollo del trabajo se examinan las estrategias de organización obrera que se desplegaron en los distintos momentos del período, los modos de expresión de la protesta sociolaboral, el tipo de demanda focalizada sobre las entidades patronales y las características de la relación desplegada con el Estado y sus instituciones. El planteo propone una periodización que organiza los distintos ciclos en los que puede desagregarse el lapso temporal considerado de acuerdo a las tendencias dominantes dentro de las organizaciones sindicales en cada uno de ellos. Finalmente se ensaya una mirada de conjunto sobre las entidades obreras ligadas a los diversos sectores de actividad económica que organizaron la vida del territorio en dicho contexto histórico.
