It aims to accurately portray the evolution of the forms of action, the protagonists of the groups involved and the alliances woven by the Rosario student movement, in order to finally trace and explain the cycles of conflict. Departing from an important database built primarily with newspapers of the period, we operationalize the concept of social confrontation, to achieve some conclusions and review ideas about students of Rosario and their activism. With this case analysis, we aim to advance in a broader characterization of the Argentine student movement in that period. En este artículo se abordan las luchas del movimiento estudiantil de la Universidad Nacional de Rosario, entre los golpes de Estado de 1966 y 1976. El trabajo se propone retratar con precisión la evolución de las formas de acción, los protagonismos de las agrupaciones implicadas y las alianzas tejidas por el movimiento estudiantil rosarino para, finalmente, trazar y explicar los ciclos de conflictividad detectados al observar los valores que arrojan ciertas variables y las relaciones plausibles de establecer entre sí. Al operacionalizar el concepto de enfrentamiento social, a partir del registro de una importante base de datos construida fundamentalmente con periódicos de la época, se arrojan algunas conclusiones y, al mismo tiempo, se revisan otras ideas sobre el estudiantado rosarino y su activismo. Con el análisis de este caso, se pretende avanzar en una labor más amplia de caracterización del movimiento estudiantil argentino en dicho período. Este artigo aborda as lutas do movimento estudantil da Universidade Nacional de Rosário, entre os golpes de estado de 1966 e 1976. O trabalho visa retratar com precisão a evolução das formas de ação, os protagonistas dos grupos envolvidos e os alianças tecidas pelo movimento estudantil de Rosário para, por fim, traçar e explicar os ciclos de conflito detectados, observando os valores que certas variáveis apresentam e as relações plausíveis a estabelecer entre si. Operacionalizando o conceito de confronto social, a partir do cadastro de uma importante base de dados construída principalmente com jornais da época, são tiradas algumas conclusões e, ao mesmo tempo, revisadas outras ideias sobre os alunos de Rosário e seu ativismo. Com a análise deste caso, pretende-se avançar em um trabalho mais amplo de caracterização do movimento estudantil argentino naquele período.
