Departing from this hypothesis, the present article proposes, on the one hand, to problematize and suggest new definitions by studying similarities and contrasts regarding 20th and 21st-century science fiction and, on the other hand, to perform a critical study of Martín Castagnet’s novel Los cuerpos del verano (2016) as the axis of analysis of postmodern science fiction. To serve this purpose, we will rely upon the theory of human acceleration and augmented humanity to rethink the connection between literature and a reality deeply penetrated by technology. Eric Sadin’s La humanidad aumentada: la administración digital del mundo (2018) and Rosa Hartmut’s Aceleración social: consecuencias éticas y políticas de una sociedad de alta velocidad desincronizada (2011) will be highly productive in this matter. El concepto de literatura realista es pensado en la actualidad por Hernán Vanoli a través de la hipótesis que presenta en El amor por la literatura en tiempos de algoritmos (2019): la ciencia ficción se presenta como la nueva literatura realista. A partir de esta hipótesis el trabajo se propondrá, por un lado, problematizar y proponer nuevas definiciones a través del estudio de similitudes y contrastes, en torno a la ciencia ficción del siglo XX y el siglo XXI; y por el otro, realizar un análisis crítico de la novela Los cuerpos del verano (2016) de Martín Castagnet como eje de análisis de la ciencia ficción posmoderna. Para ello, nos basaremos en la teoría de la aceleración humana y la humanidad aumentada para pensar el vínculo entre la literatura y una realidad que se encuentra cada vez más mediada por la tecnología. Serán de gran productividad los postulados de Eric Sadin en La humanidad aumentada: la administración digital del mundo (2018); y Hartmut Rosa en Aceleración social: consecuencias éticas y políticas de una sociedad de alta velocidad desincronizada (2011). O conceito de literatura realista é pensado atualmente por Hernán Vanoli através da hipótese apresentada em El amor por la literatura en tiempos de algoritmos (2019): a ficção científica se apresenta como a nova literatura realista. A partir dessa hipótese, o trabalho se propõe, por um lado, a problematizar e propor novas definições através do estudo de semelhanças e contrastes entre a ficção científica do século XX e do século XXI; e, por outro lado, a realizar uma análise crítica do romance Los cuerpos del verano (2016) de Martín Castagnet como eixo de análise da ficção científica pós-moderna. Para isso, nos basearemos na teoria da aceleração humana e da humanidade aumentada para pensar a relação entre a literatura e uma realidade que está cada vez mais mediada pela tecnologia.
