Results showed a great dispersion among the   different used procedures. Consequently the methods should be used with caution. The equation proposed by Rawls et al. (1982) gave good results for wilting point and field capacity estimations in Ludueña’s catchment.   The Rosetta’s code and Wösten et al. (1999) equation gave good results for saturation and irreductible moistures estimation En este trabajo se han utilizado diferentes procedimientos para estimar humedades características de sueloslimosos, representativos de un sector de la llanura argentina, partiendo de información granulométrica y deparámetros fisico-químicos disponibles en las cartas de suelos del INTA. Se utilizaron valores de referenciacaracterísticos propuestos por Rawls y otros (1982), Carsel y Parrish (1988) y Zimmermann (2006a, 2006b) yfunciones de pedotransferencia (FPT) propuestas por un conjunto de autores y otras incluidas en los códigosSOILPAR (Acutis y Donatelli, 2003) y Rosetta (Schaap et al, 1999) para las composiciones texturales de las136 muestras analizadas. Se concluye que los resultados obtenidos ofrecen una gran dispersión entre losdiferentes procedimientos empleados dando la pauta que los predictores se deben emplear con precaución.Para la estimación de humedades de punto de marchitez permanente y capacidad de campo en la cuenca delAº Ludueña pueden recomendarse las ecuaciones propuestas por Rawls et al. (1982). Para la estimación dehumedad residual y de saturación puede considerarse el código Rosetta o bien la ecuación propuesta porWösten et al. (1999).
