Specifically, for some time there had already been discussions regarding the recipients of their religious labor, in many of these congregations, this was reflected in their choice of the poor as subjects of their actions. This work will present a balance and historiographical overview about academic studies of Argentinian female congregations in the aftermath of the Council. Both studies that intend to paint a broad picture of the actions of several dioceses and those that focus on specific cases will be taken into account. Additionally, there will be a series of questions and propositions for the future to fill the current historiographical vacuum as regards female congregations of the Rosario Archdiocese, these will be related to the conditions of the Third World and will keep a gender perspective in mind. El Concilio Vaticano II tuvo importantes consecuencias para las congregaciones religiosas femeninas dentro de la Iglesia y fue clave en la profundización de procesos que ya estaban en curso. Precisamente, desde tiempo antes se venía discutiendo acerca de los destinatarios de su labor religiosa y, en varias de ellas, esto se plasmó en la elección de los pobres como sujetos a quienes orientar su acción. El trabajo que aquí presentamos ofrece un balance y síntesis historiográfica sobre los estudios académicos que han abordado las congregaciones femeninas de Argentina en el clima posconciliar, tanto aquellos que pretenden hacer un mapa más general sobre su actuación en distintas diócesis, como los que tratan casos particulares. Además, se pretende presentar una serie de preguntas y propuestas sobre las que será necesario avanzar en un futuro para llenar el vacío historiográfico existente en relación a las congregaciones femeninas de la Arquidiócesis de Rosario, vinculadas con el tercermundismo y teniendo en cuenta la perspectiva de género.
