Through the examination of the legislative framework that enabled the emergence of modern municipality in the province of Tucumán, particularly law 1246, and the analysis of the 1920 municipal reform that sought to enable women's suffrage, this work explores the legislative experiments that redefined the nature of the municipality and its political subject in gendered terms. These initiatives took place in the context of the rise of the suffrage movement in Argentina, which put women's political rights on the agenda. Our goal is to understand how municipal reforms challenged and transformed local power structures, opening debates about the construction of voters, representation, and the inclusion of women in this realm. Este análisis se sitúa en la intersección de los estudios sobre la construcción de la ciudadanía moderna, el enfoque de género en la historia y los procesos de constitución de la jurisdicción municipal. A través del examen de la arquitectura legislativa que posibilitó el surgimiento del municipalismo moderno en la provincia de Tucumán, en particular la ley 1246, y el análisis de la reforma municipal de 1920 que intentó habilitar el voto femenino, este trabajo explora los experimentos legislativos que redefinieron la naturaleza del municipio y su sujeto político en clave de género. Estas iniciativas se desarrollaron en un contexto de auge de la lucha sufragista en Argentina, que puso en agenda los derechos políticos de las mujeres. Nuestro objetivo es comprender cómo las reformas municipales interpelaron y transformaron las estructuras de poder local, abriendo debates sobre la construcción de los votantes, la representación y la inclusión de las mujeres en este ámbito.
