The objective of this work was to estimate the concentration of CaCE in soils of the province of Buenos Aires using adjusted mathematical functions and, consequently, to determine the main edaphic parameters controlling its availability. Twenty-four soils from the province of Buenos Aires were sampled, and routine physical-chemical determinations were performed in soil laboratories. Data were analyzed with stepwise multiple linear regression. The analysis retained the variables electrical conductivity (EC) and the relationship between exchangeable Ca (CaCIC) and the sum of the bases (S). The equation was: 2,175 EC (dS m-1) + 2,554 CaCIC/S - 0.925, with an R2 of 0.55 (p <0.01). The presence of EC would be associated with the ratio of soluble ions, while the CaCIC/S ratio would be related to CaCE stock in soils. These preliminary results show that it would be feasible to obtain more accurate estimates of soluble CaCE, suggesting the need to perform further studies for a more detailed understanding of its dynamics in temperate soils.

La variación de su concentración en este estado es compleja y depende de factores naturales y antrópicos. Los suelos de la provincia de Buenos Aires se encuentran naturalmente bien dotados de Ca, pero se han observado zonas con posibles deficiencias debido a la exportación antrópica sin reposición de este elemento. El objetivo de este trabajo fue estimar la concentración de CaCE en suelos de la provincia de Buenos Aires a partir de funciones matemáticas ajustadas y, en consecuencia, conocer los principales parámetros edáficos que predicen su disponibilidad. Se realizó el muestreo de 24 suelos de la provincia de Buenos Aires, y se realizaron determinaciones fisico-químicas de rutina en laboratorios de suelos. Se realizó una regresión lineal múltiple por selección de variables paso a paso (Stepwise). El análisis retuvo las variables conductividad eléctrica (CE) y a la relación entre el Ca intercambiable (CaCIC) respecto a la sumatoria de las bases (S). La ecuación fue: 2,175 CE (dS m-1) + 2,554 CaCIC/S – 0,925, con un R2 de 0,55 (p<0,01). La presencia de la CE se asociaría a la relación con los iones solubles, mientras que la relación CaCIC/S se relacionaría con la reserva de CaCE en suelo. Estos resultados preliminares demostraron que sería factible obtener estimaciones de CaCE soluble más precisas, sugiriendo que se deberá continuar con su estudio para poder comprender con mayor detalle su dinámica en suelos templados. Os solos da província de Buenos Aires são naturalmente bem dotados de Ca, mas foram observadas áreas com possíveis deficiências devido à exportação antrópica sem reposição deste elemento. O objetivo deste trabalho foi estimar a concentração de CaCE nos solos da província de Buenos Aires a partir de funções matemáticas ajustadas e, consequentemente, conhecer os principais parâmetros edáficos que predizem a sua disponibilidade. Vinte e quatro solos da província de Buenos Aires foram amostrados, e determinações físico-químicas de rotina foram realizadas em laboratórios de solos. Foi realizada uma regressão linear múltipla por seleção de variáveis ​​passo a passo (Stepwise). A análise reteve as variáveis ​​condutividade elétrica (CE) e a relação entre o Ca trocável (CaCIC) em relação à somatória das bases (S).
