Methodologically, for this paper, the hegemonic logics with which the original research was carried out were rethought in order to subvert the analysis with an approach of situated and sentimentalised knowledge, which leads us to take a general look at paid domestic work, and then to encounter the unknown dimension of this type of work. We will briefly go through the logics of the coloniality of power and how it becomes visible in the work trajectories of these women and their relationship with the family they care for. Shared meanings of the workers about affective-labour relations are presented, which reveal the hegemonic logics and conditions of subalternity of paid domestic workers.
