This work is articulated with a practice carried out in the Clinical, Institutional and Community Psychology Career, in the period 2012 – 2014. It was hypothesized that it is through the construction of a story/narrative where the keys for an elaborative work of a mother – woman during the early internment of a child can be set up during the early internement of a child. Clinical vignette and institutional scenes are analyzed with the aim of exploring ways to represent, to explain through a historized narration, the event of a birth in early internement. Psychoanalytic concepts are articulated in order to address the notion of maternal function. A conceptual development on mourning, mark and inscription is presented for the purpose of thinking the writing and elaborative process. El presente artículo presenta la exploración de las dimensiones de análisis implicadas en la inscripción de un nacimiento en internación temprana. Dicho trabajo se articula con una práctica realizada en la Carrera de Psicología Clínica, Institucional y Comunitaria, en el período 2012-2014. Se sostuvo como hipótesis que es mediante la construcción de un relato historizado/ narración en donde pueden darse las claves de un trabajo elaborativo para una mujer-madre durante la internación temprana de un hijo. Se analizan viñeta clínica y escenas institucionales con el objetivo de explorar los modos de representar, dar a entender a través de una narración historizada, el acontecimiento de un nacimiento en internación temprana. Se articulan conceptualizaciones psicoanalíticas con el fin de abordar la noción de función materna.
