The anthropological approach with a gender perspective allows us to account for the intersectionality of inequalities that gypsy women go through, as well as the fissures that appear in the conformation of these hegemonic stereotype. El presente artículo tiene como objetivo analizar los estereotipos construidos en torno a la mujer gitana española, tanto hacia el interior de la “etnia” gitana, como desde la sociedad mayoritaria, en el marco de un Programa de promoción de la mujer gitana en Salamanca. El abordaje antropológico con perspectiva de género permite dar cuenta de la interseccionalidad de desigualdades que atraviesan las mujeres gitanas, así como las fisuras que aparecen en la conformación de estos estereotipos hegemónicos.
