The political and oppositional discourseof ecclesiastical actorsand the socio-collective practices that pro-lifeactivists perform in the public spheretend to block and retract theactions of feminist groups.The aim of this paper is to analyze thetransformationsthat the Catholic Churchcomes realizing of its messageopponent to the abortion by means of the instrumentation of speeches and practices of secular order. That is, the constructions of a defense discourse of “the right to life unborn” as from entanglement between religious and scientificbioethical arguments. Las formas en que la Iglesia Católica interviene en los debates sobreaborto y salud sexual y reproductiva obliga a la necesidad de complejizarlas perspectivas de análisis a fin de poder observar la capacidad quedicha institución tiene de afirmar su pensamiento y doctrina en laemergencia de nuevos actores, prácticas y discursos. El movimiento delaicos pro-vida se convirtió en uno de los fenómenos sociales y políticosmás significantes del catolicismo de los últimos tiempos. El discursopolítico-opositor de los actores eclesiásticos y las prácticas sociocolectivasque los militantes pro-vida llevan a cabo en la esfera públicatienden a obstruir y a detractar el accionar de los colectivos feministas.El objetivo de este ensayo es analizar las transformaciones que desde elcatolicismo se viene haciendo del mensaje opositor al aborto y el modoen que los fundamentos basados en la religión intentan ser gravitantes apartir de su sinergia y complementariedad con un conjunto de elementosretóricos de orden secular. Esto es, la construcción de un discurso dedefensa del “derecho a la vida por nacer” a partir del entrelazamientoentre argumentos religiosos y científicos-bioéticos. Facultad de Humanidades y Artes.
