In particular, this analysis focuses on the objectives pursued and the actions implemented in political-diplomatic and economic-commercial terms, while also exploring the relationship within the MERCOSUR. In this framework, it is argued that the main objective of the foreign policy implemented was to strengthen the bilateral relationship that had been deteriorated during Jair Bolsonaro's administration. In this sense, although trade promotion was one of the guiding axes of the relationship, since da Silva took office in Brazil, an intensification of political-diplomatic relations and an incipient political-ideological convergence between the regional partners has been observed, which also has had its implications in the MERCOSUR. In this way, the paper aims to make an empirical and analytical contribution to the study of Argentine foreign policy in contemporary periods. El presente artículo tiene como objetivo estudiar la política exterior argentina (PEA) hacia Brasil durante el primer año de la administración de Lula da Silva (2023). De manera particular, este análisis hace foco en los objetivos perseguidos y las acciones realizadas en términos político-diplomáticos y económico-comerciales. Procura, además, indagar en la vinculación en el ámbito del MERCOSUR. En este marco, se sostiene que la política exterior hacia Brasil durante el primer año de la administración de Da Silva tuvo como objetivo principal el fortalecimiento del vínculo bilateral que había sido deteriorado durante la administración de Jair Bolsonaro. En ese sentido, si bien la promoción comercial fue uno de los ejes rectores de la relación, a partir de la asunción de Da Silva al Ejecutivo brasileño se observa una intensificación de las relaciones político-diplomáticas y una incipiente convergencia político-ideológica entre los socios regionales, lo que también tuvo sus implicancias en el MERCOSUR. De esta manera, el trabajo pretende contribuir empírica y analíticamente al estudio de la política exterior argentina en períodos contemporáneos.
