Her victory was postulated as a novelty, given that in the past 28 years –since 1987– all the governors of the district belonged to the Justicialist Party. In this way, the investigation seeks to contribute to the topic and delve into the challenges posed by the internationalization of subnational actors. In particular, it seeks to address the characteristics acquired by international policy in the province through changes in its government, in relation to the topics, guidelines and means to achieve them. In this framework, it is used the case study methodology and the bibliographic and digital documents’ analysis. El presente artículo tiene como objetivo realizar un análisis sobre la participación internacional de un actor subnacional de peso relevante y poco indagado como lo es la Provincia de Buenos Aires (Argentina), durante el periodo de gobierno de María Eugenia Vidal (2015-2019), perteneciente a la alianza Cambiemos. La consagración de su victoria se postuló como una novedad, ya que durante 28 años –desde 1987— todos los gobernadores del distrito habían pertenecido al Partido Justicialista. De esta manera, el trabajo busca contribuir en la temática y profundizar acerca de los retos que supone la internacionalización de actores subnacionales. En este caso, se procura indagar en los rasgos que adquirió la política internacional de la Provincia a partir de un cambio en el gobierno, en relación a las temáticas abordadas, lineamientos seguidos y medios utilizados para alcanzarlos. Para ello, se recurre a la metodología de estudio de caso y al análisis bibliográfico y de documentos digitales.
