There is little scientific evidence on this topic. The objective was to describe which teaching strategies are most frequently used by university teachers in health sciences. A narrative and descriptive review was carried out, searching various databases including articles about university teaching strategies in health sciences published between 2015 and 2023, extracting information about their methodology, country of origin, year of study and main conclusions. Twelve articles were included in which it is evident that there are many variants in terms of the teaching strategies used by university teachers in health sciences, including expository classes, discussion of clinical cases, information and communication technologies, among others. Each strategy is in line with the student's reality and the subject that is intended to be taught in the learning sessions, and many teachers focus more on constructivism and Problem-Based Learning. La educación universitaria ha evolucionado constantemente, para esto los docentes han afrontado el reto de adecuarse a cada realidad y elegir correctamente las estrategias de enseñanza a aplicar. Se cuenta con una evidencia científica escasa respecto a este tema. El objetivo fue describir cuáles son las estrategias de enseñanza más frecuentemente empleadas por los docentes universitarios en ciencias de la salud. Se realizó una revisión narrativa y descriptiva, realizando búsquedas en diversas bases de datos incluyendo artículos acerca de estrategias de enseñanza universitaria en ciencias de la salud publicados entre los años 2015 y 2023, extrayendo información acerca de su metodología, país de origen, año de estudio y principales conclusiones. Se incluyeron 12 artículos en los que se evidencia que existen muchas variantes en cuanto a las estrategias de enseñanza empleadas por los docentes universitarios en ciencias de la salud, entre ellos, las clases expositivas, la discusión de casos clínicos, las tecnologías de información y comunicación, entre otros. Cada estrategia va acorde a la realidad estudiantil y a la temática que se pretende impartir en las sesiones de aprendizaje y muchos docentes se enfocan más en el constructivismo y en el Aprendizaje Basado en Problemas.
