Territories, subjects and pedagogical proposals”, directed by Dr. María Silvia Serra and co-directed by Dr. Alejandra Castro, within the framework of the Doctorado en Ciencias de la Educación (Universidad Nacional de Córdoba), with a CONICET Doctoral Scholarship. The topic of the thesis revolves around the school space explored from the relationships between architecture for education, spatial configurations and educational processes at the rural secondary level, in three Argentine provinces (Santa Fe, Corrientes y Córdoba). Each of the schools studied is located in a different province, with variety in rural areas, in the pedagogical proposal and school form, and with a different development of the school group. This research shows that the school space in rural secondary schools is characterized by the place of the subjects in the appropriation processes; movements, versatility and ways of constructing limits and borders; and because schools are generators of the common and referents of the public in the territory. En este escrito presento una reseña de mi tesis doctoral denominada “Espacio escolar: arquitectura para la educación, configuraciones espaciales y procesos educativos en escuelas secundarias rurales. Territorios, sujetos y propuestas pedagógicas”, dirigida por la Dra. María Silvia Serra y codirigida por la Dra. Alejandra Castro, en el marco del Doctorado en Ciencias de la Educación (Universidad Nacional de Córdoba), con una Beca Doctoral de CONICET. El tema de la tesis gira en torno al espacio escolar explorado a partir de las relaciones entre la arquitectura para la educación, las configuraciones espaciales y los procesos educativos en el nivel secundario rural, en tres provincias argentinas (Santa Fe, Corrientes y Córdoba). Cada una de las escuelas estudiadas se ubica en una provincia distinta, con variedad en las ruralidades, en la propuesta pedagógica y forma escolar, y con un desarrollo del conjunto escolar diferente. Esta investigación demuestra que el espacio escolar en escuelas secundarias rurales se caracteriza por el lugar de los sujetos en los procesos de apropiación; los movimientos, la versatilidad y los modos de construir límites y fronteras; y por ser las escuelas generadores de lo común y referentes de lo público en el territorio.
