description This research concerns the analysis carried out in two Brazilian magazines that address Environmental Education (EE) in attention to commercial films focusing on EE, aiming to analyze which films that researchers in the EE area have been using in times of environmental crisis in the Brazilian context. The research is of qualitative nature, and the empirical data were obtained from Electronic Journal of the Master in Environmental Education (EJMEE) and the Revista Ambiente & Educação, observing which are the conceptions of EE by Mello and Trivelato (1999), namely: conservative, social ecology and political ecology that predominate in films. The results showed that in 60% of the articles, the films used as a didactic resource in science teaching are focused on the conservative concept of EE. Another point to reflect on is the dissociation between the Brazilian EE Law that emphasizes transdisciplinary teaching and current teaching, because, still, the EE is more worked in science teaching in relation to other areas. Therefore, there is need to promote the use of film with a focus on EE in the school environment in a transversal way, approaching representations from the perspective of empowering and innovative critical EE, given what we experiencing with pandemic.

Esta investigación se refiere al análisis realizado en dos revistas brasileñas que abordan la Educación Ambiental (EA) en atención a las películas comerciales centradas en la EA, con el objetivo de analizar qué películas que los investigadores del área de EA vienen utilizando en tiempos de crisis ambiental en el contexto brasileño. La investigación es de naturaleza cualitativa, y los datos empíricos fueron obtenidos de la Revista Eletrônica de Mestre em Educação Ambiental (REMEA) y la Revista Ambiente & Educação, observando las concepciones de EA de Mello y Trivelato (1999), a saber: conservadora, ecología social y ecología política que predominan en las películas. Los resultados mostraron que en el 60% de los artículos, las películas utilizadas como recurso didáctico en la enseñanza de las ciencias están dirigidas a la concepción conservadora de la EA. Otro punto a reflexionar se refiere a la disociación entre la Ley de EA brasileña que enfatiza la enseñanza transdisciplinar y la enseñanza actual, ya que la EA es aún más trabajada en la enseñanza de las ciencias en relación a otras áreas. Por lo tanto, surge la necesidad de promover el uso del cine con enfoque de EA en el ámbito escolar de manera transversal, abordando las representaciones desde la perspectiva de la EA crítica, potenciadora e innovadora, ante lo que estamos viviendo con una pandemia. Esta pesquisa diz respeito a análise feita em duas revistas brasileiras que abordam a Educação Ambiental (EA) em atenção aos filmes comerciais com foco na EA, tendo por objetivo analisar quais filmes que os pesquisadores da área da EA vêm utilizando em tempos de crise ambiental no contexto brasileiro. A pesquisa é de natureza qualitativa, e os dados empíricos foram obtidos da Revista Eletrônica de Mestrado em Educação Ambiental (REMEA) e a Revista Ambiente & Educação, observando-se quais as concepções de EA de Mello e Trivelato (1999), a saber: conservadora, ecologia social e ecologia política que predominam nos filmes. Os resultados demonstraram que em 60% dos artigos, os filmes utilizados como recurso didático no ensino de ciências estão voltados a concepção conservadora de EA. Outro ponto para refletir remete-se a dissociação entre a Lei de EA brasileira que enfatiza um ensino transdisciplinar e o atual ensino, pois, ainda a EA é mais trabalhada no ensino de ciências em relação às outras áreas. Portanto, existe a necessidade de promover o uso do filme com foco na EA no ambiente escolar de forma transversal abordando representações na perspectiva da EA crítica potencializadora e inovadora, visto o que estamos vivenciando com uma pandemia.
