It is a qualitative study, where the findings of three data collection instruments are analyzed (Likert-type survey, discussion group and semi-structured interview), which show that the practice of this sport generates positive repercussions on the self-image of the participants. In addition, it is deduced that this sport is positively related to academic responsibilities and social relations within professional training in higher education.
