description The aim of this paper is to present a morphological and stylistic analysis of the set of zoomorphic and anthropomorphic ceramic depictions recovered by Fernando Gaspary in the mid-20th century at the Cerro Grande site on Los Marinos Island (Victoria department, Entre Ríos province). The site presents a chronology that range between 460 ± 50 and 660 ± 70 years 14C BP, and was occupied by complex hunter-gatherer groups associated with the Goya-Malabrigo archaeological entity. Birds of prey constitute the most represented taxon in the collection. They are characterized by being stylized-schematic figures that show design patterns similar to those found in the regional artistic record, and especially from the lower Paraná. The analyzed appendages are mostly associated with bell artifacts, miniatures, and probably also with open vessels, also detecting a zoomorphic pendant. This study allows to grant visibility and highlight the informative potential of one of the most emblematic museum collections for the archeology of the northeast of Argentina.
