The purpose of this article is to analyse the set of critical interventions that underlie the notion of allegory at play in these works, which inaugurate the allegorical reading of Saer's literature. We seek to show that there are heterogeneous and at times contradictory conceptions coexisting in it, and that the traces of this tension La institucionalización de la literatura de Juan José Saer converge con los diagnósticos críticos acerca del giro alegórico de la literatura argentina de fines de los años setenta, en tanto se interpreta Nadie nada nunca como una novela de la dictadura. Ha sido ampliamente destacado el rol de las intervenciones de Beatriz Sarlo en este proceso. El propósito del artículo es analizar el conjunto de operaciones críticas que sostienen la noción de alegoría puesta en juego por Sarlo en esos trabajos, que inauguran la lectura en clave alegórica de la obra saeriana. Buscamos demostrar que en ella conviven concepciones heterogéneas y por momentos contradictorias, y que las huellas de esta tensión pueden rastrearse en la tendencia anti-alegórica de la crítica saeriana reciente.
