The review begins with an introduction about the origins of this novelistic subgenre and its acceptance and rewriting in literary contexts from different regions. The second part of the article discusses the contributions of three books published between 2020 and 2022. The discussion will include questions aimed at fostering conversations and new studies on the Latin American Bildungsroman. The article ends with some hypotheses about the future of this type of narratives. En el siguiente artículo se presenta una evaluación de tres estudios críticos recientes sobre el Bildungsroman latinoamericano. En la primera parte se introduce en los orígenes de dicho subgénero novelístico y su acogida y reescritura en contextos literarios de distintas latitudes. Luego se discutirán los aportes de tres libros publicados entre 2020 y 2022. En los casos que lo ameriten, se incluirán preguntas con el fin de fomentar el diálogo y nuevos estudios sobre la novela de formación en Latinoamérica. El artículo concluye con algunas hipótesis acerca del futuro de este tipo de narrativas.
