During isolation due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Llinás was unable to go outside to film his monumental films, but he shot inside his house Lejano interior (2020), a medium-length film that takes his cinema to an “out of it” also from literature, but this time in dialogue with a genre that until now had not been reappropriated in his films: poetry. The objective of this work is to analize the medium-length film / poetry book Lejano interior from its continuities and distancing from the use of voice-over in Historias extraordinarias (2008), both productions essentially related by the common purpose of bringing word and image closer together. En repetidas ocasiones se estudiaron las apropiaciones que el cine de Mariano Llinás realiza sobre procedimientos propios de la literatura, más específicamente de la narrativa. La voz over ha sido analizada como un mecanismo que vincula su cine con la narración novelesca. Durante el aislamiento por la pandemia de COVID-19 Llinás no pudo salir a exteriores a filmar sus películas monumentales, pero rodó en el interior de su casa Lejano interior (2020), un mediometraje que lleva a su cine a un “fuera de sí” también desde la literatura, aunque esta vez en diálogo con un género que hasta el momento no había sido reapropiado en sus películas: la poesía. El objetivo de este trabajo es leer el mediometraje/poemario Lejano interior desde sus continuidades y distanciamientos respecto del uso de la voz over en Historias extraordinarias (2008), ambas producciones esencialmente unidas por el propósito común de acercar palabra e imagen.
