The notion of imaginary -from Castoriadis´s social imaginaryassociated to the notion of patriarchy, proposes itself as a category able to bridge the gap between literature and society, in order to intervene into the hegemonic narrative about a historic period characterized by a binary interpretation and a tendency to deny the continuities with a traumatic national past. The commemorative edition from 2010 exposes the effect of this proposal on the present, and the relevance of investigating the construction of historical memory in the different spheres of culture. Este artículo explora un imaginario patriarcal en Nueve novísimos poetas españoles (1970), antología que constituye un hito en la historia de la poesía española contemporánea, y que desempeña un importante rol en la cultura de la Transición. La noción de imaginario (deudora del imaginario social de Castoriadis) asociada a la de patriarcado se propone como una categoría capaz de tender un puente entre literatura y sociedad, a fin de intervenir el relato hegemónico sobre un período histórico caracterizado por la interpretación binaria y por la tendencia a negar continuidades con el traumático pasado nacional. Considerando una edición conmemorativa de 2010, queda en evidencia la vigencia del planteo y la relevancia de revisar la construcción de la memoria histórica en diversas esferas de la cultura.
