The conception of the teacher as Moral focus, put forward by Alasdair MacIntyre is revised, given the fact that it is invoked among non-explicit formulas of value and critical ethos. This is done by selecting corpora centered on the class “Notas sobre el canon” which was uploaded to the virtual platform of the “Diplomatura en Lectura, Escritura y Educación-FLACSO” directed by Martín Kohan. These documents are read in light of: the contribution by Sandra Contreras in relation to literary value (2010) and an article by Kohan (2013) in which he reconsiders value to speak about the notion of post autonomy postulated by Josefina Ludmer. En esta comunicación se analizan las valencias del valor literario y de la crítica en función de la instrumentalización de la literatura desde diferentes escenarios: cátedra universitaria, revista especializada y aula de literatura. Se pone a prueba una idea de Alasdair MacIntyre: la del profesor como foco moral, figura invocada entre las fórmulas secretas del valor y las artes del riesgo crítico. Para ello se selecciona un corpus cuyo núcleo está en la clase “Notas sobre el canon” y en la tertulia virtual asociada, ambas del año 2009 y bajo responsabilidad de Martín Kohan en el marco de la Diplomatura en Lectura, Escritura y Educación ofrecida por la Facultad Latinoamericana de Ciencias Sociales (FLACSO). Estos documentos se leen a contraluz de la intervención de Sandra Contreras a propósito del valor en el año 2010 y de un artículo del año 2013 donde Kohan vuelve sobre el valor para expedirse sobre la noción de posautonomía propuesta por Josefina Ludmer.
