La reinvención de la mujer en la tragedia de Séneca Gall, Noe Feminismo Teatro Medea Feminism Theatre Medea In the order of the discourses of our societies which trace their origins back to Ancient Greece and Rome, the Tragedy was made the first school of Western dramaturgy. The representation of women in the history of Tragedy has very distinctive characteristics about women, equally now and before the women are represented from a misogynist point of view. I want to give an account of the intricacies with which women have been narrates in ancient tragedies, and at the same time offer a re-invention of the classic Medea tragedy and through it, the representation of women in the Theatre. Medea offers a possible figuration of a woman who rebels herself to motherhood and to the obligatory and compulsive heterosexuality. She also reveals a narrative that sees another Theatre, another way of presenting the female characters. Medea's figurations let the creation of a feminist political imagination to re-appropriate the Ancient Tragedy. To carry out this task I will use conceptualizations related to this authors such as Teresa de Lauretis, Judith Butler and Donna Haraway, who will nourish our proposal.
