We initially point out the mythical nature of her figure and the antagonistic perceptions driven by such nature, and then approach some representations that consolidated her black legend by emphasizing the notion of pretense. Before conducting a strictly literary analysis, we explore a variety of papers which, mainly from the nineties, focused on the links between politics and popular mass culture, conceived as two spheres whose interaction governed and still governs possible constructions of Evita. At last, we identify recurring operations and elements in a literary series encompassing works by Jorge Luis Borges, Copi, Néstor Perlongher, César Aira and Daniel Herrendorf, departing from her representation as a “blonde doll” to finally reach her modeling as a “madwoman of the house”. En el presente trabajo proponemos un recorrido crítico a través de algunos textos que conforman el vasto corpus discursivo forjado en torno a Eva Perón. En un inicio señalaremos el carácter mítico de su figura y las percepciones antagónicas que dicho carácter motivó, para luego abordar algunas representaciones que consolidaron su leyenda negra insistiendo en la noción de simulacro. Previamente al análisis estrictamente literario, abrevaremos en diferentes estudios que, sobre todo a partir de la década del ’90, hicieron foco en los vínculos entre la política y la cultura popular de masas, concebidas como dos esferas cuya interacción rigió y aún rige las posibles configuraciones de Evita. Finalmente, identificaremos operaciones y elementos recurrentes en una serie literaria constituida por obras de Jorge Luis Borges, Copi, Néstor Perlongher, César Aira y Daniel Herrendorf, partiendo de su representación como “muñeca rubia” y arribando a su modelización como “loca de la casa”.
