El presente ensayo estriba en estudiar el despliegue político y el repertorio discursivo del evismo -término que alude al liderazgo de Evo Morales- como sujeto sociopolítico populista desde su emergencia como movimiento social, a fines de la década de los años ochenta, marcado por una acción de resistencia a las políticas neoliberales, luego su incursión en el campo electoral, entre 1987 y 1995, la consolidación del Movimiento Al Socialismo-Instrumento Político para la soberanía de los pueblos (IPSP) como movimiento político (1995-2006), el gobierno de movimientos sociales (2006-2019) y la réplica al golpe de Estado (2019-2020).
