Preliminary diagnosis in Argentina and Latin American countries. The project has been recently approved by the Secretariat of Science and Technology of the National University of La Plata and is located in the Area of Stu-dies and Research in Physical Education of the Faculty of Humanities and Education Sciences. This project is carried out by researchers Novice and wants to become a con-tribution to the academic field of the discipline. There would be a shared assumption among the actors in the field of Physical Education that this subject is an area of vacancy in training, which prevents thinking educational interventions for all ages. In this line, we aim to analyze and distinguish the contents on the vejez, aging and the elderly in the field of physical education teacher training in Argentina and Latin American countries. Different international organizations propose to modify vocational training to move towards more inclusive societies, since the lack of initial training policies to address the heterogeneity and diversity of the subjects has the consequence that the curricula of the training of educators still do not conform to the social needs. El texto que presentamos toma algunos de los argumentos teóricos que dan sustento al Proyecto Promocional de Investigación y Desarrollo Los contenidos acerca de la vejez en la formación de profesorxs y licenciadxs1 en Educación Física. Diagnóstico preliminar en Argentina y países latinoamericanos. El proyecto ha sido aprobado recientemente por la Secretaría de Ciencia y Técnica de la Universidad Nacional de La Plata y se encuentra radicado en el Área de Estudios e Investigaciones en Educación Física de la Facultad de Humani-dades y Ciencias de la Educación. Este proyecto es llevado adelante por investigadorxs nóveles y quiere constituirse en un aporte al campo académico de la disciplina. Existe un supuesto compartido entre lxs actores del campo de la Educación Física de que esta temática constituye un área de vacancia en la formación, lo que impide pensar inter-venciones educativas para todas las edades. En esta línea nos proponemos como obje-tivo analizar y distinguir los contenidos sobre la vejez, el envejecimiento y las personas mayores en el ámbito de la formación docente en Educación Física de Argentina y otros países latinoamericanos. Diferentes organismos internacionales proponen modificar la formación profesional para avanzar hacia sociedades más inclusivas, ya que la carencia de políticas de formación inicial para atender la heterogeneidad y diversidad de los su-jetos tiene como consecuencia que los currículos de la formación de educadorxs todavía no se ajustan a las necesidades de lo social.
