El presente artículo tiene por objetivo analizar las repercusiones producidas a partir de la profundización de la cooperación entre China y las Islas Salomón en particular –específicamente, a partir de la firma de un pacto de seguridad en 2022- y las naciones del Pacífico Sur en general –exceptuando aquellos países que no reconocen a la República Popular-, entendiendo a dichas repercusiones como manifestaciones fruto de una alteración en el equilibrio de poder en la región.
