To do this we make a historical tour and an analysis of its resolution until the signing of the Peace and Friendship Treaty of 1984. We consider this was a catalyst for renewal of international relations between the two countries and the beginning of an integration and friendship process that can be understood by the kantian culture. El presente artículo tiene la intención de analizar el conflicto del Canal de Beagle entre Argentina y Chile a la luz de la teoría de la transformación de los conflictos. Para ello se presentará un recorrido histórico del mismo y un análisis de su resolución hasta la firma del Tratado de Paz y Amistad de 1984. Dicho Tratado constituyó un catalizador para la renovación de las relaciones internacionales entre ambos países y el comienzo de un proceso de integración y amistad que pueden comprenderse a la luz de la cultura kantiana.
