The examination of the construction of a new type of dependency on a nascent hegemon that affects Latin America’s commercial, political and cultural patterns a at the national level is of great importance for the development of the region and the ideation of public policies. In this paper, these correlations will be problematized from the literature, from a regional vision linked to Mercosur, to see if these national patterns are repeated at a regional level and how they are represented. Las relaciones de América Latina con China se han afianzado en los últimos años, a partir de un nuevo vínculo entre los países que ha permitido el surgimiento de diversos análisis y proyecciones sobre su futuro. El examen de la construcción de un nuevo tipo de dependencia frente a un hegemón naciente que afecta los patrones comerciales, políticos y culturales de América Latina a nivel nacional, es de suma importancia para el desarrollo de la región y la ideación de políticas públicas. En este trabajo se problematizan estas correlaciones a partir de la literatura, desde una visión regional enlazada al Mercosur, para visualizar si estos patrones nacionales se repiten a nivel regional y de qué forma se representan.
